Dell, Dell, What the Hell
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron laptop with a 17" screen. I love it. But, recently my touch pad locked and my mouse would not move. What Do I Know, I thought it was a frozen screen problem so, I took the battery out and started it up again. As long as I wasn't "signed" in my mouse moved but the moment I signed on and got to my desktop a bubble would appear on the lower right hand side of my screen saying, "Your touch pad is locked". What do I know, I thought I was being punished and therefore locked out purposely by a higher power. So since the major "support" Dell provides is on-line, I was totally locked out. So, I got onto Dell's support site on line via my smart phone. It asked me for my Service Tag. OMG who ever thought up to put the Service Tag and the Express Service code on the under side of the laptop is "diabolical", they should die and forever rot in hell, and could they make the type any smaller? Why not invisible. After entering my Service Tag on their website via my cell phone I then proceeded to go around in circles. No, I needed a live person. I finally located an 800 number on my packing slip and after arguing with the automated response system, I finally, thank G-d, got a sweet female voice that was the product of a living person. After all that I notice a little key on my keypad up at the top near the "F" buttons and it looks a lot like my touch pad with an "X" on it. So while I am talking to this sweet female voice I press that key up at the top of my keypad and guess what it "unlocks" my touch pad. Oh, what do I know.
